LOW-OIL FLOAT SWITCH
The low-oil float switch is wired into the heater control circuit to prevent operation of the burner if
the oil in the expansion tank reaches a dangerously low level. Operation of the burner in a low-oil
situation will cause overheating and burnout of the heater coiling. The unit is factory lubricated to
insure a lifetime of trouble-free service. Never use lubricants on the pivot sockets as unnecessary
additions will cause malfunctions. If the mercury tube ever appears cloudy or cracked, it should
be replaced.
