AC Meter by Sample<8><6><5><6>Calibration of the Asphalt Meter by weighed load Sample is one of the procedures that cannotbe run while making mix.On selecting this procedure the WARNING display shown in Figure 8656.e will be shown. Note that even though thiswarning is displayed, the plant operation and data gathering continues uninterrupted. The Continuation Options are:OPTIONKEYDESCRIPTIONESCapeESCReturn to the previous display. There has been and will be nointerrupting of plant operation.(Access).00Interrupts plant operation. Gain access to the asphalt metercalibration procedure displayed in Figure 8656.1The calibration display of Figure 8656.1 is a single form containing all the information necessary to calibrate the asphaltmeter by weighed loads. The upper left portion of the display shows TestParameters. The desired rate at which the asphalt is recirculated and willbe pumped is specified by the first parameter in TPH. The density of the sample asphalt is specified by the secondparameter in lb/gal (at 600F). The length of time the divert valve will be switched to the RUN, ie sample, position can bepreset with the time interval parameter shown in seconds. The MeasuredMeterValues are displayed in the lower left portion of the display. These are the display of theinstantaneous pumping rate, the asphalt temperature, and the accumulated wet tons. The actual procedure is defined by the continuation options in the order shown. The Continuation Options are:OPTIONKEYDESCRIPTIONESCapeESCReturn to the previous display.Parameters4Enter Test Parameter data.Clear.00Clear all totals.Start Test7Switch the divert valve to the RUN position.Correct Totals8Enter recalibration data.page F - 83SYSTEMS Equipment Corp. 8/31/89 Page (44)
