Feeder by Sample<8><6><8><4>The calibration display of Figure 8684.1 is a single form containing all the information necessary to calibrate the feeders byweighed loads. The belt scale totalizer(s) are shown in the upper portion of the display. These scales can be used to calibrate the feedersif the scales have been calibrated and are known accurate at the rates at which the feeders are to be tested. The center left portion of the display shows the feeder test parameters. The feeder to be tested is specified by its number. The moisture of the material to be tested should be accurately known and entered as item 2. Note, for maximum accuracythe material should be a uniform and representative material sample in both moisture and gradation. To maximizecalibration accuracy the feeder calibration should be run at the feeders nominal operating speed. This speed selection isset in item 3 as 0 to 100x equal to 0 to maximum feeder speed. The length of time the feeder will run can be preset withthe time interval parameter shown in seconds. The measured feeder total(s) are shown at the bottom left of the display. The label associated with the total shownindicates the measurement technique being used, i.e. By Desired, Motor Tach, By Scale, etc. The actual procedure isdefined by the continuation options in the order shown.
